Fountains For good Feng Shui
Fountains are by nature of Yang energy. They are used in Feng Shui to activate wealth luck in specific sectors, such as the South-East (wealth), the East (prosperity & health), and the North (career/work). Each of these sectors connects with a particular element: South-East & East: Wood / North: Water. Feng Shui Fountain tips properly used can enhance the wealth of luck quite dramatically and they will increase the wealth.
Thus it is very much appropriate to place a wooden fountain in the South-East or the East, and a metal fountain in the North (metal produces water in the cycle of the elements). Fountains are considered wealth activators in Feng Shui.
Right Fountain Placement
Finding the right position – Remember to always place your fountain with the water flow directed towards your home, not away from it (you may experience the opposite of the expected result!). Choose your fountain carefully: its elements/shapes must be in agreement with the sector in which you will place it; if you have a small home, don’t choose a large fountain (excess Yang energy will disrupt the balance of Chi in your home); finally, make sure it is regularly cleaned up and filled (not enough water may damage the pump).
Skill will help in the right placement for your fountain. We can determine this placement using the Flying Stars approach, using the Water Star #8. We saw that four cycles interconnect the five elements Water, Wood, Fire, Earth, and Metal, namely production, destruction, support, and exhaustion.
Balancing Elements
These cycles can balance the elements. Depending on the orientation and date of construction of your habitat, position the Water Star #8 in any sector. Fountain positioning requires care to avoid conflict with the sector in which it is placed.
Feng Shui Fountain Tips
Choosing the right element
Use the following elements in specific sectors. We recommend the safe use of fountains in the North, East, and South-East sectors, but please check with a Feng Shui consultant to use them in other sectors.
Right Direction
North: its element is Water, use a metal fountain (Metal produces Water). Use round shapes and white/black/deep blue colors. – North-East: its element is Earth, use a stone fountain. Prefer square shapes, ochre, and red colors. – East: its element is Wood. Use a wooden fountain or a stone fountain (Earth supports Wood).
Prefer rectangular shapes and green/deep blue/black colors. – South-East: its element is also Wood. Use a wooden fountain or a stone fountain (Earth supports Wood). Use rectangular shapes and green/deep blue/black colors. South: it’s elements Fire, use a wooden fountain (Wood produces Fire). Use a small size fountain, and light the water flow with an external light direction. Prefer rectangular shapes and green/red colors.
South-West: its element is Earth, use a stone fountain. Prefer square shapes and ochre/red colors. West: its element being Metal, use a metal fountain or a stone fountain (Earth produces Metal). Prefer round/square shapes and white/grey/ochre colors. Make sure the water flow is not too important as Water exhausts Metal.
North-West: its element being Metal, use a metal fountain or a stone fountain (Earth produces Metal). Prefer round/square shapes and white/grey/ochre colors. Make sure the water flow is not too important as Water exhausts Metal.
