Lincoln’s Dream About His Death
Did Abraham Lincoln predict his own death? It is recorded that Abraham Lincoln dreamt of two versions of himself. In one version, he was living, but in the other, he was pale. It is at this time that he predicted his violent death. He dreamt that a bullet struck his heart at Fords Theatre, followed by people’s cries.
He later dreamt that he left his bed and walked through the White House to find the source of the crying. When he approached the East room, he encountered a coffin guarded by soldiers. He asked whose coffin they were guarding, and a soldier answered that it was the president’s since he had died from an assassination. The crying woke Lincoln up, and after a few days, he was assassinated.
