80. 17th Jan 1994: An earthquake of magnitude 6.6 shook the city of Los Angeles USA. The disaster caused billions of dollars in damage and killed 54 people. This was the largest earthquake in the US.
81. 17th Jan 1995: Japan’s port of Kobe was hit by an earthquake of 7.2 magnitudes. Hundreds of people were feared dead and thousands were injured. Builds, apartment blocks and elevated highways collapsed in the earthquake. This probably was one of the worst earthquakes in Japan.
