Hungarian born American actress Eva Gabor was born on the 11 February 1919 in Budapest to Vilmos and Jolie Gabor. She had two sisters, Zsa Zsa and Magda and in the 1930s, immigrated to the United States in 1939.
Rise To Fame
Before immigrating to the United States, Eva Gabor had trained as an ice skater as well as a singer. Her first film appearance was in Forced Landing (1941) followed by a part in The Last Time I Saw Paris.
Career
She found success as an actress in the United States in films such as Forced Landing (1941), Pacific Blackout 1942, The Mad Magician (1953) and Gigi (1958). She also appeared on Broadway in 1950 in The Happy Time and played a farmer’s wife on the television show Green Acres (1965-1971).
Personal Life
Eva Gabor died in California on the 4 July 1995. Gabor was married several times. Her first husband was Eric Drimmer (m.1937-div. 1942). She then married Charles Isaacs (m.1943-div.1949), John Williams (m.1956-div. 1957), Richard Brown (m.1959-div.1973) and Frank Jameson (m.-1973-div.1983).
